Lovingkindness Meditation

With all the current upheaval and uncertainty, there is a craving for grounded centeredness and a sense of connection and purpose.  April 19 has been designated as a Day of Action and the team at Pure Being has chosen to focus our action towards a practice that benefits not only each of us individually but all of humanity — Loving Kindness Meditation (LKM). This practice

  • fosters compassion & empathy by encouraging individuals to direct positive thoughts & wishes towards themselves & others.

  • can reduce stress, enhance emotional resilience & improve overall wellbeing.

  • helps cultivate positive relationships & a greater sense of connectedness, promoting personal & social transformation.

If this is something you're interested in, please join us at Pure Being between 2:30 and 4 pm for a guided Loving Kindness Meditation (LKM) practice and discussion.  The experience will be completely guided so if you've never practiced any kind of meditation before, no worries!  You can sit on the floor or in a chair, either way, just wear comfortable clothing.

This event is FREE but we ask that you bring the following to be donated to local social service agencies:

  • shelf stable food items

  • personal hygiene and grooming items (including period products)

  • socks, hats (for summer weather)

  • sunscreen, insect repellant, hydration tablets

  • etc
