A seven week series intended for beginners (and those who want to dust off their mats) focused on the basics of yoga including:
How to safely do the postures including modifications to suit all ages and body types
The equipment (mats, blacks, straps, etc.) and how to use it
Breathing techniques
Mindfulness and Meditation
Energy channels, chakras and mudras (hand gestures)
Yoga mythology
Defining and understanding yoga — what IS it??
The history of yoga
How yoga strengthens and restores the nervous system
How yoga reduces every suffering
You’ll complete the series feeling confident and prepared to attend a yoga class at a studio, the Y or the park district. And, you’ll likely feel better in your body, mind and spirit.
$150 for the entire series
